Classically trained composer Andy Simms played clarinet and saxophone from an early age in many orchestras and jazz and rock groups before studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and now works as a composer for TV and Film. His influences vary from composers such as Danny Elfman and Elliott Goldenthal to jazz instrumentalists such as Herbie Hancock and John Coltrane, and recent commissions have required Andy to compose music in such varied styles as orchestral, ambient electronica, rock and jazz for TV and film scores and also for commercial projects such as promotional film and online media.
